I've been going to http://www.promjaidental.com/ for about 15 years. They have moved two times each time downsizing. There's several clinics a lot closer to where I live now but the prices are about the same.

I've also been to the dental clinic at Bumrungrad. I'm sure the quality of the dentist was top notch but the facility is in the old section of the hospital and is overwhelmed with visiting farangs. Walk-in's and long waits for appointments. The price was a little more then Promjai but quality the same, I guess. In fact many of the doctors work at both on different days.

Nearly all of the private hospitals have good dental clinics. The advantage of this is they can send you for special testing like an MRI. The disadvantage is it might be over-kill. The kicker is you don't know unless you you happen to be a dentist.

It does seem now days that dental procedures are done in steps with a lot of wait and see. Not sure you can get some things done to completion in one visit.

I think dental procures are less expensive in Pattaya. They advertise cheaper procedures but I might be comparing apples to oranges. Also, what's advertised may not be what you actually end up with.

If in Pattaya I recommend Dr Tappasit at Studio Smile, http://studiosmilethailand.com, US trained and practice, returned to Thailand and then worked at BHP before opening his own dental studio. On the higher end of the price scale here in Pattaya but you get what you pay for as there a lot of cheapo places in this town.

I use Idol Smile Dental Clinic in Bang Na.

http://www.idolsmiledental.com

I made 6 visits in a month's time for a cleaning, an extraction, root canal and two posts among other things, but can't recall all the details. Total cost for everything was 15,800 baht. Seemed very reasonable overall. Dentists speak English, and only had to wait as a walk-in first time there. The rest were appointments. Probably a bit out-of-the way for most-- on La Salle Rd. But in my neighborhood, so I could just walk there. Good luck!

Same as above, Dr. Tappasit. In addition to myself, I know others who have used him and were very satisfied.

Agreed...Dr Tappasit at Studio Smile...
in North Pattaya near the Dolphin roundabout and across from the Dusit Hotel.

Excellent dentist with modern office and equipment.

I requested an appointment using their website ...contact us
And was replied to within an hour for a next day confirmed appointment with Dr Tappasit.

Suggest you ask for Dr Tappasit...as I believe there may be other dentists in the office too.

I believe Dr Tappasit is only dentist and his chair is on the first floor and makes the referrals for the specialists. The specialists have their offices on the second floor. Also, x-rays are on the second floor which means climbing steps, so if you have difficulties you have been forewarned.

Hi Tj,

I'm in the process of opening a new office. Our lease at the present office runs out in about 2 yrs and the landlord wants the land back to build a luxury 5 stars hotel. So I'm gradually migrating my patients over to the new office(attached are the map and contact info). It's located nearby on North Pattaya Road. There are plenty of on-site parking. It will be opened on 4 January, 2017. My hours initially at this office are M-F: 4:30pm - 6pm and Sat and Sun: 10am-4pm. Please let me know if I can be of help when the next dental crisis arises.

Website is not fully functional and still evolving. All contact stuff are, however, functional.

A bit late but I highly recommend Dr. Thaweesak who has a small clinic on Sathorn Soi 1. When I arrived in Bangkok my teeth were in pretty bad shape. He sorted out all the problems and has looked after them ever since. Far from the cheapest in town but the prices seem similar to those at Promjai. Rarely have to wait more than a few minutes, although maybe 15 or so for the lady who does the deep-cleaning. She always seems to run a bit late!
