Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 4

It would not surprise me if 'The Bureau of Engraving and Printing' were to soon receive an Executive Order demanding Trump's ugly mug be printed on the $20 bill.

Re: Things one finds when looking for something else ...

I don't know. The best guess I could make would be that a glich happened during the quite complicated transition from a phpBB Board to a vBulletin Board (undertaken by Surfcrest when he took over). Strange software things happen during a complete makeover . . . 'things' which are beyond my comprehen...

Things one finds when looking for something else ...

. . . in this case, a poll taken on Sawatdee in 2008. Apparently I started it, but I can't remember doing so, or why I would do so. Perhaps downright prurience, 2008 being my Year of Being Prurient. Wondering how the results would perhaps change given that "we" were mostly in our horny 60'...

Mick Jagger alive at 104 ...

Remember when Jagger was handsome? One can only conjour up the word "grizzled" last time I saw him on some tarmac in The Azores climbing into his jet. But on this video he looks downright sensuous . . . those lips are still those lips in 2017. Marianne Faithful (one of his early girl frien...

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 4

The kind of man Trump pardons (quite long, but unbelievably intense). This article, in a nutshell, demonstrates the kind of men Trump and Arpaio are, and the kind of danger America is in if it keeps Trump in the White House. " ... In Phoenix, Trump hinted that he would pardon Arpaio. He said th...

Re: Jerry Lewis Dead 91

Jerry Lewis was not particularly esteemed in the USA ... more like pockets of fans rather than full-on country-wide gushings. In an interview somewhere he mentioned that "at least I'm beloved in France" . Sound familiar? Trump's rather like that, but for him it's Russia. Lewis's comedy was...

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 4

And to add to Firecat's comments on this: Joachim, do really believe that a huge company like Foxccom would start building a brand new massive centre for high tech production needing hundreds (if not thousands) of new, highly educated employees; needing incredible amounts of studious planning; costi...

Looking for C S Lewis ...

... which I was this morning. Watching a movie named 'Shadowlands', which turned out to be a part of the English/Irish writer C.S. Lewis's life. I had vaguely heard of the name before, but had never read anything of his. So what does one do (besides calling up PeterUK that is)? ... of course!: Wikip...

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 4

" ... citizens of two countries UK and Canada cannot stop bashing America. Think about it" As for The Canadian here: I'm not bashing America, I'm bashing Trump (and to a certain extent the Nothing-But-Trumpers who voted for him). Frankly, I believe the US and it's institutions are resilie...
