Re: Michelin 2019 - Thai restaurant awards

Ate at Au bon Coin for hubby's birthday last week.
For our main course we both had 5 hour cooked lamb and it was very good, unfortunately we don't get to Pattaya often, wish we did just to eat here.

Re: ACH transfers from USA to Bangkok Bank -Alert!

In the UK if you are doing a bank to bank transfer to pay for the transaction, the charge for 1000 GBP is 7 GBP
Slightly more if you pay by UK debit or credit card

Re: iO Italian Osteria-Bangkok

My partner and I are in Jomtien for a few nights from 9th November.
After a holiday in Europe including Barcelona he particularly likes Spanish tapas.
I know this restaurant is Italian rather than Spanish but it must definitely be worth a visit

New SF movie theater in Terminal 21. He did not try any food in Osteria but hopefully quality is similar t...

Re: Beware if you have a Red Lic. Plate

I used the term log book meaning it as a book where you write down (i.e. log) your journeys

Re: Beware if you have a Red Lic. Plate

6 years ago when we bought our new Mitsu pick up, we received the book.
I can't remember if we received it when we took delivery of the vehicle or if my partner when to get it when we were making trips outside of our province

Re: Beware if you have a Red Lic. Plate

I asked my partner about driving outside your province with a red number plate.
He says you get a log book with the plate and you have to enter details and timings of your journey in the log.
He says you do not get authorisation to make the journey just carry the log book

Re: Protecting valuables

I would hazard a guess that the victim brought the lad back to his room at the end of an evening where he had had more drinks than he would normally consume. Reason and common sense went out of the window to his cost. Guess most of us have at some time done something that we would not repeat when we...
