Re: Why Americans are Flocking to Asia

Why not try Cigna Global? Just out of curiosity, I went into their website, giving them my particulars then got an immediate quote. They have Silver, Gold and Platinum plans and loads of add on. All in the ballpark of GB’s figures. Within a couple of hours, a telemarketer phoned and email me to ask...

Re: Emirates Axing the A380 from its BKK/HKG route

Very sad news. Over the last few years, I did on a couple of occasions travelled on Emirates flat beds between BKK and HKG. If memories still intact, it was just under 13k bahts return. Absolutely big bang for the buck. But for me, the worst thing was their return flight to BKK arrives around midnig...

Re: Suvarnabhumi two hour layover to catch a flight – too risky?

Sounds like you might have less than an hour to deplane, go through immigration, baggage collection, customs and check in for your inland flight. That would be a bit of a challenge for me. It would be different if they allow you to check in all the way to your final destination, say you could clear ...

After a week in Macau, I returned to Utapao on Wed 00:30am. with Air Asia. A week ago, departure was from the old building. At 5-6pm the place was pretty much packed. Air Asia flights to Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Macau and some cities in China were exiting from the same gate one after the other. But the ...

Efficiency at Jomtien Immigration Office

I must commend the service at the immigration office this morning. I was there to extend my retirement visa. I arrived just after 10am. Lots of cars parked in the vicinity made me dread of the possible long lines at immigration. First Monday morning of the month is perhaps not the ideal time. ( note...

Re: Car insurance recommendation please

Trust me to miss their office,. Found them the second round the block. The settings is a bit unexpected, with the office behind a park like lawns. My trusted 2005 pickup truck was deemed too old to qualified for 1 st class insurance. They offered me their next best thing, a 2+ policy for 7500b. The ...

Re: Car insurance recommendation please

Many thanks for your response GB.
Currently I am paying just under 12k for my policy after all the NBC deductible.
I will go to the Viriyah office and talk to them this week.
