Re: Hong Kong Celebrity Chef relocated to Pattaya

Apologies! I have just looked for a map. It appears the location of his home is near the lake but the restaurant itself is close to the Royal Cliff on Kasetsin Soi 2. The SCMP article does not mention this. It also gets the name wrong. It should be "Comfort by Harlan". Here's the website w...

Hong Kong Celebrity Chef relocated to Pattaya

Neither a review nor a recipe; merely a news item. A new addition to the Pattaya dining scene is now open, "Harlan Goldstein’s Comfort" - although it is likely to be at a price. One of Hong Kong's foremost chefs over the last 26 years, Harlan Goldstein, has moved to just outside Pattaya by...

Re: N Korea

I basically agree with Pattayamale. There has to be a formal peace treaty at the outset. The sticking point, though, will surely be the nuclear issue. I cannot see Kim agreeing to anything more than ceasing further development and permitting regular inspections. He saw what happened in Libya and how...

Re: Indonesia travel alert

I did not realise how true the above cnn article was until I found this article in the Jakarta Post dated just two years earlier. It provides an historical outline of the milestones achieved in LGBT acceptance since the 1960s decade by decade. Indonesia'€™s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LG...

Re: Another Foreign Lunatic in Thailand

Utterly disgraceful! I wonder how many times this guy has flown. All airports have become stress-inducing zones over the decades - for very good reasons. But how many other passengers relieve that stress by attacking those working at an airport? I too hope he is locked up for a long time.

Re: N Korea

The problem is that Kim, like his father and grandfather, are shit scared of travelling outside their country. Even the trips to Beijing have always been made in a bullet-proof train - and I understand at least two trains make the run so any attacker is confused (a bit like Air Force 1 and its clone...

China Backtracks on Gay Social Media Ban

At the end of last week, the Chinese website Sina Weibo, often described as China's answer to Twitter, outraged the country's LGBT community by announcing it would clean up the site and from henceforth "the platform would remove content including images, videos, text and cartoons that were rela...

How the mighty are fallen! What a bummer (pardon the pun)! Looking forward to your comments on Seoul. I haven't been there for 8 years and hope it has become more obviously gay active.

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 4

Amid the all the Comey revelations of Trump's chronic lying and his acting like an old-fashioned mob boss, almost lost has been Trump's instructions to Larry Kudlow, his severely experience-challenged Economic Council Director, to have his administration do a total U-turn and look into the possibili...

Re: New Screw Boys

I have seen those group videos on tumblr sites. I'm in Beijing next month. I'd love to know where they are - if in fact they still exist. Looks like fun, but also looks like only Chinese present.
