Re: Thailand Resumes Executions in The Name of Peace

in Thailand can anyone truthfully say the conviction is "completely reliable"? While that is a good point, I don't think saying the conviction is "completely reliable" is completely valid anywhere. But in many cases, the answer is yes - it can be said the conviction is completel...

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 5

there is no chance he would be convicted. I'd like to at least see the opportunity to find out if you are right. I have a feeling you hope you are wrong. Even if he is not convicted, nothing in the Constitution prevents him from getting impeached again, under a different crime. Of course, in the un...

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 5

I won't in future use DUMP as the nickname for Trump. In my book he's crossed the line I won't use a nickname at all. I'm going to continue calling him Trump. I can't think of a worse insult than that. And when a future tyrant comes along, they'll probably use Trump as his nickname. In my opinion, ...

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 5

I don't give them the benefit of the doubt and that's for one simple reason - as far as I'm concerned there isn't any doubt. None. What I'm saying is despite everything Trump doe...

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 5

Remaining silent when with Trump supporters is the same as passively allowing their ignorance to embolden the immorality currently dominating the US government. I think part of the problem is Trump supporters have the same feelings about anti-Trump people. Apparently they can no more understand why...

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 5

The only two people I see supporting this policy are none other than Joe Arpaio, who should never have been pardoned, and Jeff Sessions, who never should have been appointed Attorney General in the first place. Now we can add Kirstjen Nielsen, Secretary of Homeland Security, to the list. These are ...

Re: N Korea

The Economist cover this week rather nicely sums up last week's summit I don't necessarily agree with that assessment. I think it depends on Trump's true motivation for glad-handing, back patting, ass kissing, and making all kinds of complimentary remarks about an evil dictator, one who makes Sadda...
