Re: Mixed Emotions

Go to the Jomtiem Complex bars and have a drink with someone that you like. Ask them or their friends if they are interested. Many bar boys wake up around 1.00 to 200pm so they could fit in a few hours at the beach before work. I see some of my bar boy friends posting on fb from Dongtan Beach when t...

Re: Bus service starts between U-tapao Airport and Pattaya (and elsewhere too)

The mini van to U-Tapao was 350 baht today and i was picked up at my condo in Pratunmak. Driver was on time and very polite and drove carefully. They called yesterday to confirm and check the address for pick up. I used https://online-pattaya.com/ The new terminal is good and the best part is no wai...

Re: Guesses on travel time from Pattaya to Don Muang?

I avoid Don Muang Airport unless there is no choice, although flying out is better than returning there with ...

Re: Camping in Thailand

Waterfalls at Khao Yai are great in rainy season, especially the majestic Elephant falls. I stayed in one of the many resorts just outside the park with my then Thai bf and brothers from Korat. It gets quite cool at night.

Re: Condo Market Over Built...Sales Slump

They still advertise 10% yearly returns. In their dreams maybe. Some of the older condos with good reputations like Chateau Dale, Hyde Park and VT5 might give a good return on investment but rents have levelled out and reduced in most newer buildings like Unixx at Pratunmak.

Re: Air pollution problems in Bangkok

Pattaya will have plenty of days with way over the top pollution figures! One reason I moved from my condo in Pratumnak at Pattaya was the pollution from vehicles, especially the many big buses that spew out fumes when they accelerate up hills. It is a health hazard just going for a walk in many ar...

Re: Another Sunee Bar Closes

I was at Skybar for Alain's birthday on the last night before he closed the bar. Not an advertised party but he had organized a huge birthday cake for those present. I hope Alain opens another business in a good location. He is an excellent chef and knows how to welcome and look after his customers....

Arnos scored 5/10. Burger ordered medium and arrived very well done. Good price for a set though, will order medium rare if i go again.
