Re: The Royal Wedding

I watched it all. It was a beautiful day, despite the best efforts of Victoria "Maleficent" Beckham to summon the dark forces of the underworld. What is that bitch's problem? Has anyone ever seen her smile? And her husband seems so nice!

Re: Going for a little swim at Jomtien Beach? Read this

Rereading some of the older posts in this thread I see reference to the "crystal-clear" waters of Koh Larn. Is that still the case? I wouldn't really expect crystal clarity, but is the water there really still significantly better than Jomtien? When I first went to Thailand Jomtien beach w...

Figure Skating World Championship

Since I've become such an expert following the Olympics, I just watched the World Figure Skating Championship from Milan. It was a disaster for everyone except Nathan Chen of the US, who won by a huge margin. My beloved, Shoma Uno, fell three times in his free skate, and seemed destined to finish of...

Re: Great Olympic Skating: Shame on True Visions

I just watched yesterday's medal ceremony; I didn't realize until then just how small Uno is. He looked like a ten year old wearing his father's coat. Couldn't they have made one in his size? Anyway, I'm beginning to feel just slightly like a degenerate.

Re: Great Olympic Skating: Shame on True Visions

I wondered if anyone else was watching the Olympics. Actually Hanya was not the last to skate; that was Shoma Uno, another Japanese, who won the silver. More to the point,(to me), he's cute as hell, much better looking than Hanya, or even Nathan Chen. I'll grant that Hanya is appealing, and Chen is ...
