Re: 13 Thais Missing during Caving Expedition

Forgive me for venting, and I know that this is totally missing the point, but I can't help but be appalled by how much misinformation we've been fed over the past weeks. Forgive me, I don't care. They got out, that'll do for me. Journalists will always exaggerate or latch onto rumours or whatever,...

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 5

I see Trump is now using the Hillary Clinton defence - "I misspoke". Classic.

Re: Things that kept me glued to the TV

They should be honoured officially of course. After all they honoured half the England cricket team for winning a couple of cricket matches against Australia a few years back. I know which I rate the more substantive feat.

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 5

Churchill, FDR, Mandela , Obama , Eisenhower etc etc etc . Were these, and many others, crooks? I think not! Eisenhower, Churchill, FDR are all before I was born. Amazing someone needs to go back that far to think of some who MAY have been decent. I couldn't say. Mandela wasn't really a politician....

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 5

all the nice folks on the other side will put the world to right like they always have in the past. If the world is destined to be put wrong, I'd much rather have it wrong Democrat style than wrong Republican style. So would I, but I don't believe either side will do anything for anyone other than ...

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 5

Please in your vast knowledge of US Politics . . . What's with the "vast knowledge" crack? Clinton is corrupt (both of them). There is no politician I know of with an ounce of honesty, decency or morality. The vast majority will sell their vote on any subject to the highest bidder. You wa...

Re: Consequences of Trump's Win - 5

What a disgrace - and what a total farce! How many Americans are ashamed, as they should be. of the foul behaviour of these people (and I am so tempted to use a very different word for them)? And this form of adversarial politics is what the United States considers an example to the rest of the wor...
