Re: Pattayanis-Greeklicious: A hole-in-the-wall Greek Restaurant

If you're looking for ambiance and atmosphere, this is the wrong place, but if you're looking for authentic Greek food at reasonable prices, with very good service and good sized portions, give Pattayanis-Greeklicious a try. Pattayanis is moving and renaming itself Pattayanis Greek Garden. Apparent...

Re: Pattaya Meals

IMO they have continued to have good meals, with several added since the above posts, that are reasonably priced. I tend to order from them on a regular basis - I find it convenient at times to order two or even three meals to eat one that evening and the others the over the next day or two. The bf ...

Re: Good catch Thaiworthy - the 7-Eleven topic was a hoax

I didn't see the article you deleted, but have my own rant about April Fools announcements - be especially alert on April 1 for any similar postings on Thaivisa. A few years ago, I spotted one (as I recall it had to do with Thai Gov't issuing a new law banning marriage between Thai women and foreign...

Re: Big Kahuna

Does anyone know if they deliver, as did Pastrami on Rye? They have just recently started delivery service -- full menu, including breakfasts (but don't start delivery until 11am -- and continues to 8:30pm). From their Facebook page: BIG KAHUNA DELIVERS IN PATTAYA Our trial of delivery in Jomtien a...

Re: Visa and Passport Question

All responses are correct - I agree with mahjongguy's suggestion to renew your passport before your extension of stay - it will require a trip to the ACS in Bangkok to apply (appointment necessary) for a new passport - you will retain the old one (but, if you arrange for them to mail it to you, it i...

Re: Big Kahuna

I had the pancake breakfast there yesterday morning - very good and reasonably priced. I hope he gets his home delivery up and running soon. I used to order their Burger delivered in the evenings when I didn't feel like going out or cooking - along with one of their craft beers - porter being my fav...

Re: Amber

I and a friend tried it last night. We both enjoyed our food and the ambiance. Stefan, the onsite manager, was very helpful (he even remembered us from when he worked at the News Cafe). We did make a booking, but on Wednesday at 7pm it was apparently not needed as there were only a few other custome...

Re: Any TM30 update?

A friend tells me that Pattaya Immigration are now insisting that foreigners returning from abroad or from a trip within Thailand must fill in a TM30 form at Immigration within 24 hours or face a fine next time they do their 90 days check-in. He says the fines are being enforced (2000b he thinks). ...

Re: validity of income verification letter

This is shown on the current Pattaya City Expats Club checklist for retirement extensions: IF you are using monthly income in total or in part to meet the financial requirements, an original “Embassy Letter” from your country’s embassy attesting to your monthly income. The letter should not be more ...
