Re: Great Olympic Skating: Shame on True Visions

I've been missing most of the winter games due to my work schedule here in the U.S. but was able to catch Yuzura Hanyu's mesmerizing performance. That boy is so HOT that he melts the ice before his legs even go into motion.

What I wouldn't give to see him skating in a pair of speedos... :P

I'm certainly no expert on the gay bar logistics in Bangkok - but wouldn't Soi Tarntawan be a good location?

Re: There's no fool like an old fool

fountainhall. To answer your question more directly... Based on consultations I've had with two Thai lawyers and the research I've done on Thai Inheritance laws, a foreigner must, at a minimum, be a Resident of Thailand in order to have a Thai Will. Obtaining a Thailand Certificate of Residency is a...

Re: There's no fool like an old fool

As is clear. I'm not a lawyer. I'm curious, though. If you do not have or are not permitted to have a Thai will, what is the process for the finances of a deceased to be transferred out of the country? Just so you know, lawyers in Thailand only charge between 500 - 1,000 baht for a one hour consult...

Re: Soi Twilight to be Demolished in June/July for Redevelopment?

You would think that if these bars were going to relocate after closing shop in Soi Twilight there would be some mention of this on their websites, if for no other reason then to communicate this to their customer base...and there's not. This (to me any way) is an indication that they (the bar owner...

Re: Soi Twilight to be Demolished in June/July for Redevelopment?

I have a feeling that sad news like this will be a regular event for all of us LOS veterans as time moves on with the lack of gay customers supporting these venues. There is simply not enough cash flow to keep these venues operating, coupled with the governments plans to "change the image"...

Re: There's no fool like an old fool

If you rent an apartment and have a few million lying around in a bank account and cannot make a Thai will, then how do you leave that cash or part of it to your partner? I imagine this happens to many farang and God only knows who ends up with the money. On second thought, I think even God would b...

Re: Twoguy's Guesthouse Pattaya to close by Thursday, February 8

Sad news. I have enjoyed my routine breakfasts at 2G's ever since Monty first opened its door many years ago. It went on the be a regular meeting place for gay visitors and expats alike over the years and I'm sure there are many other guys feeling the sadness right now. I became friends with John (t...
